The RXXXL Road Shoes are the crown jewel in Bontrager's road line-up, thanks to their unbelievable lightness, support, comfort and efficiency. From the ground up, the RXXXLs mean business. Hand-molded Platinum series carbon soles deliver the stiffness you need for maximum power transfer. On top of the world-class soles are single-seam bonded uppers that fit like a dream and reduce material overlap to trim weight to an astounding 199 grams (size 42). You also get molded heel cups with anti-slip linings and and hook-and-loop straps and a Micro-Fit buckle for a custom fit.

In order to mount your pedals' cleats to your shoes, they must have matching bolt patterns. There are 3 configurations (diagram) used on cycling shoes, SPD-R, Look/SPD-SL and SPD.
