The Butterfly Carbon is the lightest of the Butterflies thanks to the addition of carbon rails. It's wider in the rear than typical saddles for good support of a woman's sit bones. The Butterfly Carbon's low profile, flat top, and a complete cutaway through the center are designed to provide pressure relief and support in the right areas. Designed to take comfort up a notch for endurance riding, the Butterfly Century is engineered with a layer of Poron XRD shock absorbing material between the saddle’s base and foam layers. The Poron XRD reduces road shock and allows for a thinner layer of foam and a narrower overall saddle profile, without loss of rider comfort. A larger foam cutout provides greater soft tissue relief. A layer of gel across the top gives an additional level of relief to the Cite X Gel. This saddle was designed for the recreational rider who spends a half day on the bike or less, rides nearly upright with lots of weight against the saddle, prefers the closest thing to a pillow, or has significant lower back pain. A completely seamless, heavily contoured top with large cutaway is guaranteed to hit and miss in all the right places. Shock-absorbing elastomers molded into the saddle base create the effect of springs without any mechanical devices or additional weights.
